E-Book Webinars & Workshops

Thank you to Joan Lahti, Ph.D., of Get To The Point Books for sponsoring a 45-minute webinar on my e-book, Are Your Star Performers Packing Their Bags?  How to Persuade Them to Stay.  Participants from across the country (and globe) reflected on their own retention tactics, and saw how to navigate this user-friendly workbook approach.   I offer similar sessions -- in person, online, or using blended technology, for any size group.  Contact Joan for a reference:

Lonely at the Top?

"Leaning in" may mean "living without"?  In his NYT article, Breadwinning Wives and Nervous Husbands,Richard H. Thaler --professor of economics and behavioral science -- cites data that says women making higher earnings may be bad for marital bliss.  (6/2/13).

While women still, on average, earn less than men, many are turning their educational accomplishments into good paying careers -- so good, that they out-earn hubby.  Apparently, many marriages suffer when 'women start bringing home filet mignon vs. bacon.'

Add in the child-care conundrum, and career ladies face preposterous pressures.

Late Bloomers

Almost gave up on growing orchids, then these lovely blooms sprouted after a few years of dormancy.  Maybe, like us wise women, they were simply gathering what they needed to show up at just the right time.  Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, in her audio series "The Late Bloomer" reminds us we have what we need inside us to reinvent ourselves -- again, and again.
